[Bug 1230067] Nvidia "easy way" installer silently fails on gcc version mismatch
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1230067 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1230067#c5 Stefan Dirsch <sndirsch@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |IN_PROGRESS --- Comment #5 from Stefan Dirsch <sndirsch@suse.com> --- I don't think it makes sense trying to use older kernels on TW, if you don't need to. It just asks for trouble. I mean you would also need to install older matching kernel-default-devel packages. Otherwise needed kernel symbols won't match. Also we can't use environment variables to use gcc-13 as default. Providing packages for TW is already a fragile task. Please use the latest kernel and kernel devel packages together with nvidia drivers - if possible. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
