It happened today while I was hacking away at a document. The machine also did not become unresponsive before X crashed (I always assumed that during the constant stream of "bo map failed" ~30 seconds until the crash, the machine would hang, but it seems that it doesn't). This is a pretty annoying bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

When I clicked on "Profile verwalten", the menu window that appeared was also incomplete (not all buttons, no icons IIRC). I blamed it on a KDE problem, but shortly after, X crashed and logged me out. the machine was totally responsive, no swapping etc, so I don't think it "really" run out of memory. There are about 100 seconds worth of "bo map failed" messages in the attached logs, and the menu weirdness might well be inside that 100 seconds between the messages starting and X crashing, but it might also have started sooner, I can't tell for sure. I have now installed debuginfo packages in the hope of getting a better backtrace (even though I doubt it will help a lot ;) I hope this brings a tiny little amount of light into the darkness we are digging in ;) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
