https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=299674 Summary: gpsd dies Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: roeland@linux-it.nl QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com Found By: Integration Test gpsdrive also delivers a version of gpsd which seems to die unexcpectedly. if a BU-303 gps muse is attached it indicats after some time a lock but telnetting to the defalt port 2947 one time conects, if a command is given, it disconnects; every subsequent telnet to that port will reset. ps aux reveals that gpsd has died. gpsd -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -K is the used commandline. Downloadig gpsd-2.34, compiled and created an rpm. Instaled the rpm, renamed /usr/bin/gpsd to gpsd.orig; symlinked the 'new' gpsd to /usr/bin/gpsd and now, gpsdrive will see the lat/long and gpsd doesn't die anymore. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
