However, the opensuse package doesn't ship ping_check.sh. Work-around is to extract ping_check.sh from the src package and manually install. There I also do not see, that this file gets installed, or is this different for you? So would you mind reporting this bug upstream at bugs.kde.org? If yes, please report back a link to the upstream bug report.
