In particular, it does not seem to refer to the per-monitor LUT, as the whacky transform geeqie applies remains if I reset the LUT using dispcalGUI. Only if I disable geeqie's "Use system color profile" does it do what I would expect. The monitor from your profile looked at a first glace not that bad at all.

Most oSC profiles did a calibration followed by a profiling step. The i1display profiles where are crap due to a supposedly defect device, which I wrote the four affected people on Fri, 16 Sep 2011 in the Wednesday ICC monitor profiles email. So I guess the colour management system in geeqie is fine for that case, but unfortunately your data not.
