I can't reproduce this. On my up-to-date TW system no nvidia kernel modules are tried to be installed into initrd. Which makes perfectly sense. $ rpm -q nvidia-driver-G06-kmp-default nvidia-driver-G06-kmp-default-550.120_k6.10.9_1-27.1.x86_64 $ rpm -ql nvidia-driver-G06-kmp-default | grep dracut /usr/lib/dracut /usr/lib/dracut/dracut.conf.d /usr/lib/dracut/dracut.conf.d/60-nvidia-default.conf $ cat /usr/lib/dracut/dracut.conf.d/60-nvidia-default.conf omit_drivers+=" nvidia nvidia-drm nvidia-modeset nvidia-uvm " $ lsinitrd /boot/initrd-6.11.0-1-default |grep nvidia -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1797 Sep 13 15:27 usr/lib/modprobe.d/50-nvidia-default.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 18 Sep 13 15:27 usr/lib/modprobe.d/nvidia-default.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 14037 Sep 13 15:27 usr/lib/modules/6.11.0-1-default/kernel/drivers/hid/hid-nvidia-shield.ko.zst -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3029 Sep 13 15:27 usr/lib/modules/6.11.0-1-default/kernel/drivers/usb/typec/altmodes/typec_nvidia.ko.zst $ uname -r 6.11.0-1-default $ modinfo nvidia_drm filename: /usr/lib/modules/6.11.0-1-default/updates/nvidia-drm.ko version: 550.120 [...] $ ls -l /lib/modules/6.11.0-1-default/updates/ total 163496 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 5095752 Okt 2 13:11 nvidia-drm.ko -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3533608 Okt 2 13:11 nvidia-modeset.ko -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 397608 Okt 2 13:11 nvidia-peermem.ko -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 58997032 Okt 2 13:11 nvidia-uvm.ko -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 99383248 Okt 2 13:11 nvidia.ko Something looks wrong on your system.
