https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=745945 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=745945#c0 Summary: Pulseaudio sometimes "loses" microphone Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@suse.com ReportedBy: Aleksey_R@list.ru QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=475136) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=475136) The output of "/usr/sbin/alsa-info.sh --no-upload" command User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1 There is a problem with pulseaudio and embedded microphone on my laptop (Acer TravelMate 5720). When system starts, there's no sound input from internal microphone. After that, when I start pavucontrol and enter "Input devices" tab I see, that the level of input sound (from internal mic) doesn't change whatever I do. If I change port to analog mic (it is not connected to laptop) and change it backwards, I can see that interal mic is recognized by system and sound is recorded OK in any application. If I close pavucontrol, anything goes back (in some minutes) and there's no sound from internal mic again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start the system 2. Check the recording sound from internal microphone (e.g. in audacity) 3. Actual Results: There's no sound recording from internal microphone Expected Results: There had to be sound record from internal mic. If I turn off pulseaudio and work with alsa anything works OK. I tried to do "modprobe snd-mixer-oss" (as it was advised in some forum thread) and it didn't help. I tried to change /etc/modprobe.d/50-sound.conf from (this advise also was obtained from OpenSUSE forum):
options snd slots=snd-hda-intel # u1Nb.4euVId8Ifm1:Realtek ALC268 audio codec alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
to:
options snd-hda-intel model=auto options snd slots=snd-hda-intel # u1Nb.4euVId8Ifm1:Realtek ALC268 audio codec alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
and it also didn't help. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
