This is with a single sata disk previously partitioned with 14 partitions. It takes an age to select a partition, click edit and wait for the window to pop up; clicking fstab options is also quite slow, and finally accepting changes takes a while before returning to the partition overview. I tried this with both i586 and x86-64 versions of the suse11.2-M6 DVD. It's so bad I really think it'd put someone off ever trying suse again. When I ran top on character console, the disk partitioner process was eating over 60% of the CPU, with X taking 50% plus. A little bit of the problem can be ascribed to the v slow vesa driver as you can see that working.
