What character do you get instead?
Ascii Code Dec13(Carriage Return) I use Mousepad 0.2.16( mousepad-0.2.16-31.1.i586 ) in OpenSUSE 11.4(i586 32bit) and I use input (ibus + mozc). AFAIK, SCIM is still the default IM in 11.4, does this problem occur with SCIM as well? Does this only happen with Mousepad or are other GTK-based editors such as beaver and gedit also affected? Are there any instructions on how to switch to ibus and mozc? So this is related to the input method you are using.
AFAIK, SCIM is still the default IM in 11.4, does this problem occur with SCIM as well? OK, but I do not want to use scim in OpenSUSE 11.4, because scim has mamy problem.
Does this only happen with Mousepad or are other GTK-based editors such as beaver and gedit also affected?
Yes, I use leafpad instead of mousepad. leafpad has no problem.
Are there any instructions on how to switch to ibus and mozc? I can't even find mozc packages in openSUSE:11.4?

I'm sorry, but this isn't supported.
