[Bug 1017248] New: Dolphin can not create files or directories in the top folder of a Samba share
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1017248 Bug ID: 1017248 Summary: Dolphin can not create files or directories in the top folder of a Samba share Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Applications Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: kiv@mail.orbitel.bg QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Using openSUSE Leap 2.2 and Dolphin it is not possible to create folders or files in the top directory of the shares of a Samba server. Same time if these shares are mounted by smb4k it is possible by using the same Dolphin. Also such operations are possible there by using Krusader without using smb4k. Users using different than Leap 42.2 Linux OS with KDE can do it without troubles from their Dolphin's. So I believe if this is not present in other OS'es including such from openSUSE it looks like this bug may be solved easily probably by some backporting or so. Hopefully if you may fix it you may make many customers happy as this behaviour is very annoying. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
