My laptop is an ACER Aspire 8920. wlan0 is configured with KNetworkManager. NetworkManager log: May 9 20:34:16 linux NetworkManager: Invalid zero-length WEP key #0. I am running a LiveCD of Beta 3 and I get the exact same error Stefan received, namely the "Invalid zero-length WEP key #0" error. There is no "Key 0" field in the KNetworkManager GUI.
To which type of network are you trying to connect to? A WEP-secured one? If so you have to select the correct security-method in KNM.
