http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=626169 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=626169#c0 Summary: Vidalia & Seamonkey crashing Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Usability AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wye_not@hotmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=378784) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=378784) Its a Bug Buddy bug report a text file User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.11) Gecko/20100714 SUSE/2.0.6-0.1.1 SeaMonkey/2.0.6 I did a clean install of openSUSE 11.3 on a brand new Samsung hard drive. At first thunderbird would crash when I clicked on an email in the inbox. Vidalia would crash and so would Seamonkey. I ran the install cd again and did an update that fixed thunderbird for some unknown reason. Vidalia still crashes as soon as it makes a cicuit and iconifies itself into the taskbar. Seamonkey crashes intermittedly when trying to close a tab or dialog. I have both KDE & Gnome installed they did it in both. Bug Buddy in Gnome however returned a bug report on the Vidalia crash but not one on Seamonkey. I will attach the bug report from Bug Buddy. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Vidalia and wait until it has a tor circuit then when it places it's icon in the tray within 10 seconds it crashes. The vidalia window and the icon disappear. 2.Seaqmonkey is intermintent every crash has been related to clicking a link or tab. 3. Actual Results: vidalia immediatly crashes after the connection is made and places it's icon in the taskbar tray. Seamoney disappears and I have to restart it. Expected Results: Vidalia should have placed the icon in the taskbar tray and waited for me to tell the window to hide or minimize it. I tried uninstalling Vidalia version 0.2.9-1 & installed version 0.2.7-1 that didn't change a thing. I was using both this version of Vidalia, tor, and Seamonkey in Suse 11.2 before this. They worked flawlessly. It appears to me that it is a qt4 problem? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
