Downgrading back to 2.6.27.19 returned the performance back to original value. The decreased performance with 2.6.27.21 could be observed in other 3d software as well, not just glxgears. xorg.conf file was not changed during the upgrade or downgrade. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.With the given graphics chipset, the performance difference between the above mentioned kernels should be completely reproducible (was for me). Actual Results: 3d performance decreased.
