Instead of restarting it powers off and doesn't start when powered back on immediately using power switch on my laptop. it runs for 1 to 2 seconds and then again powers down. After leaving it off for 2 to 3 minutes, system runs again. I have installed opensuse 12.1 in dual boot with windows 7 and there is no such problem with windows 7. I have installed opensuse with "No APIC Local" kernel option with btrfs filesystem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Restarting the system 2. 3. Actual Results: System powers down Expected Results: System should restart. I am using HP 6720s laptop with core2 duo 1.8 ghz processor with 1 GB ram having Seagate 120 GB harddrive. When you say that leaving it off for 2-3 minutes the system runs again, do you mean it starts up on its own or you power it back on?

I thought it as a bug because it started just after next restart after the Opensuse 12.1 installation for the first time.
