[Bug 1023198] Leap 42.2 bails out with signal 11 during initial installation

The log seems to indicate the problems start in libpcre. But I can't be sure as it's the top line of the screen. The kernel oops is a follow-up. I can't really think why it should segfault there except there are some memory issues with your machine. Could you try to limit the memory at boot, say to 1 GB, with boot option 'mem=1g'? If that doesn't make a difference, please run memtest (from boot menu) for a while. If that also looks ok, please boot with 'manual=1' and check (on console 9) the available memory ('cat /proc/meminfo'). If still no luck: does booting via UEFI vs. Legacy BIOS make a difference? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
