[Bug 1172592] New: ignition-dracut: don't include ignition unconditionally in initrd
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1172592 Bug ID: 1172592 Summary: ignition-dracut: don't include ignition unconditionally in initrd Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: MicroOS Assignee: iforster@suse.com Reporter: lnussel@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- After firstboot ignition isn't needed in initrd anymore. It takes up 10MB of space which is significant on slow ARM devices. How about adding a check() function to the dracut module that only installs ignition if configured to do so? In addition could also trigger on existence of eg /boot/writable/ignition.firstboot. So the kiwi build would include it but as soon as the system is booted, further mkinitrd would omit ignition unless customer configures it to be included again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
