[Bug 426149] New: race condition between boot.apparmor and boot.cleanup
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=426149 Summary: race condition between boot.apparmor and boot.cleanup Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: AppArmor AssignedTo: jjohansen@novell.com ReportedBy: torsten.foertsch@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- If /etc/sysconfig/cron contains the following setting: CLEAR_TMP_DIRS_AT_BOOTUP="/tmp /var/tmp" boot.apparmor won't start sometimes. In /etc/init.d/boot.d both scripts are assigned the same start priority. I think that is the problem. If they start at the same time boot.cleanup removes files that boot.apparmor has just created. Something like that. I have added boot.cleanup to Required-Start in /etc/init.d/boot.apparmor: # Required-Start: boot.cleanup Not sure yet if that helps. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Not a single error since then. Before it had hit every other reboot or even more often. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
