To install a downloaded rpm file I opened a terminal in the corresponding directory and did sudo zypper in filename.rpm Here's what it says: Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... 'yacas=1.2.2-1.97' not found. Resolving package dependencies... Nothing to do. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Download rpm file 2.open terminal in concerned directory and do zypper in *.rpm 3. I can't reproduce this with the latest zypper/libzypp.
@Jano: Is this an already fixed bug, otherwise we probably need the logs or the failing package.
If this is the issue with the rpm package using an epoch number, then yes, it's
fixed. Atri, try
$ rpm -qp --queryformat "%{EPOCH}"
