http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=980920 Bug ID: 980920 Summary: Lxmusic adding entries to playlist doesn't work Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: LXDE Assignee: andrea@opensuse.org Reporter: maiktapwagner@aol.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Hello everyone, I am using the latest "Tumbleweed" and noticed that when trying to add entries to a playlist it doesn't seem to work. I tried both drag and drop, using the plus symbol as well as Playlist (Wiedergabeliste in German) -> Zur Wiedergabeliste hinzufügen (Add to playlist). The only console output I get when starting up is: mwagner@linux-6s7s:~$ lxmusic ** (lxmusic:7989): WARNING **: on_playback_volume_changed: couldn't get volume Regards, Maik -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

sudo zypper in xmms2-plugin-restricted
Don't forget to kill the xmms2 daemon before restarting lxmusic:
killall xmms2d
You can also control xmms2 from command line with:
xmms2 ls # list files in playlist xmms2 clear # remove files from playlist xmms2 add ~/Music/*.mp3 # add mp3 files from the Music folder to playlist xmms2 play|pause|next|stop # basic controls

--- Comment #3 from Maik Wagner
So try to install xmms2-plugin-restricted:
sudo zypper in xmms2-plugin-restricted
Works, thank you. So should we set this package as a suggestion to be installed as dependency? Thanks again, Maik -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I've submitted a request to update lxmusic to 0.4.7 and add xmms2-plugin-restricted as recommended package: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/416798. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
