Nice reproducer! I found a note that I wrote myself about this bug. As it is reportedly fixed in Tumbleweed's X server, it could be commit c9b8ce73927a43ed82b267d1c1985445f24827cc that fixed it. It is just a guess, I don't have the hardware to reproduce it.
Yeah, but, but, ... looking at the patch, wouldn't that affect *all* platforms? This particular bug happens on Gen 4, but not on Gen 6 (Sandy Bridge) or other platforms, otherwise we'd hear more complaints. My bet was on the Gen4 OpenGL driver in Mesa being borked. Do you think that's the wrong place to look? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

That particular bug was in path used only with glsl version < 1.30. It is possible that intel Gen 4 with that version of Mesa is the only platform that uses glamor and provides only glsl < 1.30. I don't know. You have the hardware available, check glxinfo and/or try if that patch fixes it. If it is not that/a bug in glamor, it surely could be a bug in Mesa. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Great catch! Indeed, we only have GLSL 1.20 on Gen4. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Yup, cherry-picking this commit seems to fix it over here. Dear reporter, could you please try the X server from this repo? https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:mstaudt:1051350boo-libreoffice-... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
