Discussion here: https://jira.suse.com/browse/PM-1069 https://jira.suse.com/browse/SLE-6955 According to https://jira.suse.com/browse/SLE-10511 this should now work on Tumbleweed it the defaults are used. Yast2 -> users and groups management -> add -> add username and password, don't change anything else (I know you can change it in one of the tabs) Home directories are created with 755 localhost:/var/log # ls -lah /home total 0 drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 34 Feb 26 06:18 . drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 228 Feb 25 08:34 .. drwxr-xr-x 1 johannes users 342 Feb 25 14:39 johannes drwxr-xr-x 1 test users 176 Feb 25 14:48 test drwxr-xr-x 1 test2 users 176 Feb 26 06:18 test2 User home directories should be 700 by default unless otherwise specified by the user. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
