I agree, stripping rabbitmq down to loopback only makes no real sense.
Again. Why do you think so? It is perfectly makes sense to run single node RammbitMQ installation. For such configuration you need AMQP port listening on 0.0.0.0, not erlang internal distribution system (epmd). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Where could I see /etc/hosts for both failing and good test cases?
openQA doesn't export this information But taking into account that the failure started with snapshot 1106, and knowing of all changes in this snapshot - I doubt /etc/hosts would look different now (we know what is on the DVD, which is used for the base installation) To be really sure, one would have to: * Make a basic install of Leap 15.1 * Make a basic install of Tumbleweed 20181107+ (in Leap 15.1, this is not yet broken, in TW it is since snapshot 1107; 1106 was not published) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Probably something related to IPv6?
Please give me some time to install the snapshot and test it by myself. I would like to see what is triggering this issue before making any judgments on solutions.
Of course - understanding the change that caused it is a great start to fix it -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

RabbitMQ versions prior to 3.7.7 do not support Erlang/OTP 21 or newer.
So, the QA test failure is most likely triggered by erlang updated to 21 version. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

The bug was flagged as fixed, but openQA still fails: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/806678#step/rabbitmq/6 https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/807090#step/rabbitmq/6
Any SR link or something to get/follow the fix?
On your screenshot there is rabbitmq-server 3.6.16. It is known not to work with Erlang 21. Update to rabbitmq-server 3.7.9 is somewhere on its way to Factory. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

We can take elixir from devel:languages:erlang. Can we submit it to Factory together with updated rabbitmq?
of course you can -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
