https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=644806 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=644806#c0 Summary: Problems with DVD play back Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bradleyh55@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.13) Gecko/20100914 SUSE/2.0.8-24.1 SeaMonkey/2.0.8 I have a Toshiba Satellite M35X with a 1.4GHz CPU 2GB RAM and a Video card 82852/855GM Intergrated I have openSUE 11.2 and Ubuntu 9.10 installed all software is up to date. When I play a DVD movie on the openSUSE 11.2 the movie will play but if I grab the window and move it the movie keeps playing but the window go black, if I grab the window again (may be more than once) I can get it back to where I can see the movie. If I boot into Ubuntu 9.10 and play the movie I can see it and grab the window and move it and all plays fine. I have Copmiz installed and running but not to many effects. Oh I also have VLC player installed. I have had problem with video under openSUSE 11.3 it will not see the card as being able to Compiz. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install doftware to be able to play DVD's. 2. Put in a DVD and start playing the movie. 3. Grab the window and move it (window will go black) grab the window again (may be more than once) and you will be able to see the movie playing. Expected Results: Be able to see the movie playing after you let go of the window. Just tried something and it fix the problem of the window going black when trying to move the window. I turned off the Desktop Effects and every thing work fine. The setting under Desktop effects is set to Medium. Just put the settings to Minimal and the same thing happens it only when it is turned off. So I'm not sure where this falls now is it the Hardware or Software? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
