(sorry for the delay, we just moved offices) We are unable to get a modeline for this panel at all? Jonas, could you run Xorg -logverbose 7 directly with this driver and post that log here. Also, does the internal screen always remain blank, even when there is no external screen connected? The current complaint in the log: (EE) RADEONHD(0): Output PANEL enabled but has no modes seems to indicate that this is always true. When starting X, on the external monitor some grey background is displayed and a cross as mouse pointer, that's it. Could not kill X either with CRTL-ALT-BACKSPACE. Internal display remains blank.
