[Bug 459229] New: a commit can easily break a linked package
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=459229 Summary: a commit can easily break a linked package Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: BuildService AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: hfiguiere@novell.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: --- Here is how you can break a linked package in OBS with unappliable project.diff. You have the following package links: B -> A -> openSUSE:Factory 'B' actually change the package version in the .spec as it is a newer upstream version. Then 'A' gets a fix and when submitted to openSUSE:Factory the "release" in the spec is bumped. At that point 'A' has no project.diff and 'B' project.diff no longer applies because it change the "Version" in the .spec (and as usual this line is followed by a Release) and the Release that appear in the diff as context is no longer. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
