[Bug 519034] New: banshee crashes when creating new database on iPod
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=519034 Summary: banshee crashes when creating new database on iPod Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 3 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Banshee AssignedTo: abockover@novell.com ReportedBy: gp@novell.com QAContact: abockover@novell.com Found By: Product Management This iPod was reset to factory settings with iTune on a Mac, then I saved, reformatted as vfat the third partition (/dev/sdc3) and restored the backup. When I rebuilt the database, as prompted by banshee, I got the crash below twice in a row. Starting banshee again, and rebuilding yet again, interestingly it worked, but I figured you'd be interested in this crash scenario. (This is with Milestone 3 and a GNOME desktop, in case this matters.) gp@rana:/media/gpod> banshee-1 [Info 02:26:23.726] Running Banshee 1.4.3: [openSUSE Factory (linux-gnu, i686) @ 2009-06-27 19:14:56 UTC] [Info 02:26:33.059] All services are started 7.980667s [Info 02:26:36.866] nereid Client Started [Warn 02:26:41.803] Could not read iPod database - Detected unsupported database version 40 (in `ipod-sharp') at IPod.DatabaseRecord.Read (IPod.DatabaseRecord db, System.IO.BinaryReader reader) [0x00000] at IPod.TrackDatabase.Reload (Boolean createFresh) [0x00000] at IPod.TrackDatabase..ctor (IPod.Device device, Boolean createFresh) [0x00000] at IPod.Device.LoadTrackDatabase (Boolean createFresh) [0x00000] at Banshee.Dap.Ipod.IpodSource.LoadIpod () [0x00000] [Info 02:26:45.367] Sync calculated for Music Library: to add: 2451 items, remove 0 items; sync_src.cacheid = 79, to_add.cacheid = 87, to_remove.cacheid = 95 Sync calculated for Podcasts: to add: 0 items, remove 0 items; sync_src.cacheid = 99, to_add.cacheid = 103, to_remove.cacheid = 111 (Banshee:8320): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_x11_atom_to_xatom_for_display: assertion `atom != GDK_NONE' failed Exception in Gtk# callback delegate Note: Applications can use GLib.ExceptionManager.UnhandledException to handle the exception.
