https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=651953 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=651953#c0 Summary: The only item on the "Actions" dropdown list is report bug if I am package maintainer but not project maintainer. Classification: Internal Novell Products Product: openSUSE Build Service Version: 2.2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: webui AssignedTo: adrian@novell.com ReportedBy: davejplater@gmail.com QAContact: adrian@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: Yes The only item on the "Actions" drop down list in the package overview page is "Report Bug" if I am package maintainer but not a project maintainer which is identical to what appears if I'm not logged in. IMHO the "Actions" drop down should be replaced by "Report Bug" if the user isn't logged in and "Delete Package" should only be available to project maintainers. Further, if I'm logged in but don't have write permissions for the package ie in this case Base:System help2man, the "Actions" link does nothing not even : "Report Bug". It should display "Report Bug" and although it's presently not a feature : "Branch Package". In fact I picked the wrong package, after logging out, clicking back to go back to the page and then refresh, the "Action" link does nothing if I click on it except display a small dot below and to the left. I've navigated back to the https://build.opensuse.org/ start page and to Base:System help2man via search and still cannot access "Actions" if I wanted to report a bug, this also happens if I access kid3-qt in multimedia:apps where I'm project and package maintainer. The last time that I updated the package description via "Actions" successfully was when I became maintainer of package KDE:Extra, my first changes entry is : Mon Jun 7 05:27:39 UTC 2010 The first time I encountered this bug was around Friday 5 November. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I consider it a serious problem that affects my productivity. I'll concede the blocker part until I find that using osc meta pkg doesn't give me a decent "description" and "title". I suspect that this bug crept in with the last update due to security fixes. Further, not being able to "Report Bug" in devel project packages is a bug. The build service is a public site now, I give https://build.opensuse.org links to upstream and have also given it to the debian blender maintainer of blender. BTW the "Actions" menu doesn't work in openSUSE:Factory help2man. I think bugzilla has a bug, I had two server timeouts when I tried to submit this bug and clicked back each time, seems each one spawned a new bug. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=651953 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=651953#c6 --- Comment #6 from Dave Plater <davejplater@gmail.com> 2010-11-08 11:44:38 UTC --- Confirmed fixed. I concede that the KDE:Extra description most probably came from the new package submitted from my home project, when KDE:community was changed and kid3 wasn't transferred. In fact AFIR I had the same problem with contrib bacula quite a while before 11.3 but ignored it. The package openCOLLADA will be in the public eye, it's the first time it's available as shared linux libraries. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
