(In reply to comment #7) Even if, its written in procmail and this version of junkfilter is heavily modified by my own. Maybe I should add an exception for the procmail rule in junkfilter.three -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=790902 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=790902#c9 --- Comment #9 from Christopher Hofmann <cwh@suse.com> 2013-01-08 10:21:02 UTC --- RFC2822 is obsoleted by RFC5322 and just states: "Though optional, every message SHOULD have a "Message-ID:" field." Not who and when it has to be created. RFC1036 is about Usenet news. RFC841 and RFC806 define it as optional - also with no definition when it has to be created. RFC724 is obsoleted and finally an ancestor of RFC5322. How does your junkfilter know when the Message-Id has been added? But to make it short: The is a request to let messages appear threaded. Therefore we need to generate Message-Ids within Hermes. As soon as this will be approached your bug will be fixed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

How does your junkfilter know when the Message-Id has been added?
by using this rule: # Message-ID added by an enroute or local mail machine :0 * $ ^Message-Id:[ ]+<.*@([-_a-z0-9]+\.)*$JFMAILDOM> * ^From:.*@ * $! ^From:.*@([-_a-z0-9]+\.)*$JFMAILDOM * $ 1^1 ^Received:.*from * $ -1^1 ^Received:.*from.*\(([-_a-z0-9]+\.)*$JFMAILDOM\> { JFMATCH="$JFSEC: Message-Id added after initial transmission" INCLUDERC=$JFDIR/junkfilter.match } with JFMAILDOM equal to e.g. suse\.[a-z]+ as this makes sure that no spammer has stolen on of our id's I've enabled this as a lot of spams had included faked message id's in past. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

So your procmail rule is simply invalid. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Because hermes mails have as first received: Received: by dhl.suse.de (Postfix, from userid 106) id B0701B031C; Tue, 8 Jan 2013 13:32:46 +0100 (CET) And the Message-Id is @dhl.suse.de, so the mail is perfectly legit that userid 106 uses /usr/lib/sendmail and relies on local MTA to add the Message-Id. I don't speak procmail, but I assume your rules can't cope with the fact that the mails are generated within suse.de but are From: dimstar@opensuse.org -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
