it might have been finding the empty directory we had there for some time.
The link to the Novell Bugzilla for OpenSUSE 10.2 is for an RC version but the error displayed on OpenSUSE 10.2 (final release) is similar. Is this possibly a bug with either YAST or ZMD on OpenSUSE 10.2 or instead a corrupted metadata file? I experienced the same error displayed for the past several days when trying to add the listed repositories for both Gnome and KDE at "http://software.opensuse.org/". Though when I entered the same information again today in YAST sources the repo for both Gnome and KDE updated YAST and ZMD. The only issue I experienced this time with adding the repositories today was a warning that the GPG key was unsigned.
