[Bug 211694] New: Problem with hard-freezing on CTRL-C
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=211694 Summary: Problem with hard-freezing on CTRL-C Product: SUSE LINUX 10.0 Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.0 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: eckert@gmxpro.de QAContact: qa@suse.de I have a problem with a hard-freeze. I have written some code (scientific calculations, image processing) that compiles and runs fine and exits normally. But if I interrupt the run with CTRL-C it results in a hard-freeze (i.e. no entry in /var/log/messages). It can be reproduced every time and independently from file I/O. I'm quite sure that this problem exists since one of the last YOU updates. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

The problem is definitely (!) caused by the latest kernel update from YOU. I reinstalled the "old" kernel from the Suse Linux 10.0-DVD and the problem is gone. I hope this information helps you out. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
