[Bug 908782] Random apache segmentation faults (11)
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=908782 --- Comment #90 from Fulvio Malfatto <f.malfatto@fmal.com> --- (In reply to Petr Gajdos from comment #89)
Fulvio,
I will try to find someone who could help you more than I can.
In the meantime: 1. Your current environment is now 13.1 for other php applications and 13.2 for phpbb3, correct? Correct! Just yesterday I ugraded phpbb from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 but nothing changed.
2. At the beginning (comment 3), you experimented with KeepAlive option. Can you still confirm that when you set it off, then segfault do not happen? No. They were only experiments. Segfaults always happen. Only changes their frequency. Actually I have keepalive active with keepalivetimeout=5 on both servers. 3. Which php applications are causing the crash except phpbb3? On the 13.1 server I have mostly personal php code, 3 wordpress sites and one joomla. I don't know a way to know which is the code who crashes. Dumps don't tell me who creates the emalloc problem. 4. This is probably nogo, but could you just think of how 'minimal testcase' could look like even if I imagine 'minimizing' will be probably VERY tricky (matter of dimensions, comment 71). At least you could try to isolate the problem to one php application with lowest system footprint (requirements, data). Maybe segfault could be then induced by some script modeling high load? This is a good idea, I already tried to imagine how to isolate the problem, but I don't have enough resources to separate different php sites on different servers. 5. Can I reach you somewhere on irc in case I need to? I actually don't use irc but I can install a client on my desktop or directly under linux if it's useful. Any suggestion for the client to use?
