This is in KDE 3.5. There is an example for the Logitech G5/G7 on the wiki (http://en.opensuse.org/Logitech). Btw, I'm not sure if it is really possible to run it out-of-the-box, because the configuration is very specific to each mouse model. You need to try and see what combination work for you.
