https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=428181 Summary: S2RAM on unknown machine "Dell Dimension 9100" - Solution Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dubblabubbla@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Other I'm pretty sure the wiki pages for s2ram pointed here to enter solutions for unknown machines. A simple change to the s2ram_opts got it working on my machine that was listed as unknown. Output from s2ram -n ; .. Machine unknown This machine can be identified by: sys_vendor = "Dell Inc. " sys_product = "Dimension 9100 " sys_version = "" bios_version = "A01" See http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram for details. If you report a problem, please include the complete output above. If you report success, please make sure you tested it from both X and the text console and preferably without proprietary drivers. .. A simple addition of S2RAM_OPTS="-f -p -m" in /etc/pm/config.d/config allows my machine to suspend to ram. I use a ATI Radeon x600 video card. Hope that is what you need. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
