This flush-option was added earlier (9.3? or 10.2?) to improve the transfer-rate, but somehow it slows it down. XFCE and Gnome does not use this option. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

KDE is setting the options for mount trough the related HAL method. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The transferrate is very slow with KDE4 and that was the only difference, I found and first it seems to be faster, but this does not work an every PC I tested with. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

However it seems, that KDE 4.3.3 works much better, but it was slower than gnome or XFCE. Unfortunatly I changed the mainbord-chipset from NVIDIA to AMD 785G, and I also upgraded to openSUSE 11.2 and it is horrible! I will need some time to test it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

It's going to be slower than without -oflush because it's doing periodic forced writeout to avoid data corruption. It shouldn't be 1/4 the speed, though. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
