I couldn't get X up This should also happen without X? If not this is also a good pointer...
Can you try to: echo 0x1F >/sys/module/acpi/parameters/debug_level; powersave -u; cat 0x3
/sys/module/acpi/parameters/debug_level
and upload relevant /var/log/message parts (from when the machine entered suspend). With some luck we see which ACPI functions are executed and possibly find out why. Also have a look at console 10 (CTRL-ALT-F10, AFAIK parts from early suspend messages could pop up there). You could also try this, but it may happen that too much logs are written out: echo 0x21F >/sys/module/acpi/parameters/debug_level; powersave -u; cat 0x3
/sys/module/acpi/parameters/debug_level

My laptop is a DELL latitude D610, bios version A06. I can send any acpi logs you want, just tell me how to generate those useful logs... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

IMO this is nothing for 11.0 right now. Please use this DSDT and do the same test on an old/working kernel. thomas, I think I met a similar problem on a HP laptop. there is a endless loop while resuming from S3, 1. dock device is notified to recheck it's status 2. dock driver evaluate _STA method. 3. a notification is sent when evaluating _STA. I don't know why this is a regression. Maybe MIS5 and local2 have different values when using the new dock driver? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
