http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=552211 Summary: Windows Domain Mount Server Directories not working Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: toddrme13@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-6.1 Firefox/3.5.4 In the windows domain membership Yast2 module (samba-client module), there is an option under "Expert Settings" to add windows network shares to your machine. This worked fine in 11.1. However, in 11.2 it is not working at all. When I add a share and then click ok and ok again, the settings are not saved. The share is not mounted on reboot, and when I open up the module again the shares I entered are not listed. Even if I just click ok twice and then immediately restart the module, the shares I added are not longer present. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Windows Domain Membership/samba-client Yast2 Module 2. Click "Expert Settings" 3. In the lower left-hand corner click "add" 4. Type in a server, directory, and mount point (one that exists or doesn't, it doesn't matter) 5. Click ok 6. Click ok again 7. Click ok again 8. Open windows domain membership again and open expert settings 9. Reboot and login again Actual Results: 8. The server is gone 9. The drive is not mounted Expected Results: 8. The server is still listed 9. The drive (if valid) is mounted -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Yes, it did. But I think pam mount should have been installed automatically (not pam_mount-32bit), and at the very least it probably shouldn't have failed silently like it did, or there should have been some indication that installing pam_mount is necessary to use the the capability.
Yes, and this will actually be the fix: yast2 module should install pam_mount. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
