https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=700866 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=700866#c0 Summary: "entering power save mode" appears suddenly, then screen is black Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: thorsten.staerk@sap.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 I just installed SUSE 11.4. Now all 10 or 15 minutes while I am working and typing, a message appears on my screen "entering power save mode". Then the screen is black and nothing works any more, only reboot. Pinging my machine does no longer work after this happens. Last reboot was at 8:30 CEST. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The message "entering power save mode" seems to come from my monitor, not from SUSE. So why does the machine tell the monitor it does not exist any longer? SUSE 11.3 worked perfectly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
