I strongly feel that an updated media must be released e.g. (openSUSE 11.31) after a while with all these major/minor bugs cleaned!
Hi Clifford, I apologize for not being able to help you directly with this. My suggestion is: if you think that a media re-spin is really needed, please raise the question in the openSUSE Project mailing list, preferably with a list of bugs that you think are critical. My feeling is that something as radical as an updated media would be considered by the project managers ONLY if: there are enough installation bugs (ie, bugs that prevent installation for many users) or bugs that really can't be fixed by maintenance updates.
To me its look very unprofessional to install my openSUSE with a serious bug right at the start on my servers deployment.
I agree it is serious, however, it's also very easy to fix the problem with a maintenance update. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
