You can start your own repo on the buildservice. I am not sure why it is slow, but it is on *all* my hardware, and I tested a lot (even on my current intel gfx: Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset, see above my tested other cards) - ok I used not really high end cards, but most people dont do that. to reproduce please try my example from above: start dolphin with --graphicssystem=raster A good test example is the folderview-panel on the left of dolphin: open the tree (for example /usr/lib) and scroll top and down.
