Could you make sure you
1) have no plasmoid-networkmanagement installed - if installed, remove and relogin
2) Have latest kdebase4-workspace installed
3) Delete old config created earlier with rm -rf ~/.kde4/share/apps/networkmanagement/connections/* rm ~/.kde4/share/config/networkmanagementrc
I think 3) is the most relevant here - I created a new account on my system and that account doesn't have a problem using wifi. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I installed Milestone 7 from the KDE live CD on a brand-new computer (hardware details below). I have a home wireless network with a hidden ESSID and WEP encryption. Networkmanager simply wouldn't connect (similar to Bug 535439). In Yast I disabled NM and used the traditional method, which worked fine (with one exception described in Bug 540502).
This bug is about knm4 not seeing any wireless networks at all. If your issue is different, pease file a separate bug. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
