[Bug 220362] New: Resizing extended partition fails
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=220362 Summary: Resizing extended partition fails Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bwalle@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com In YaST2, resizing extended partition fails with an error message that says that this operation is not supported on this file system. It's also not possible to create new non-primary (logical) partitions. As resizing an extended partition only modifies the partition table in the MBR and does not need to resize the underlying file system, it should not be difficult to add support for that. cfdisk has no problems with this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Implementation would of course be possible but this is basically a feature request that must go through fate and needs to be approved by PM. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
