OK. Could you please install the debuginfo packages for gnome-panel and gnome-applets, and then when it freezes do this: $ pidof gnome-panel 12345 <--- write this down... $ gdb (gdb) attach 12345 <--- ... and put it here (gdb) thread apply all bt # please send us the output of this
