Once installed cleanly, there are no problems with X supporting either the monitor or card correctly. So you have a rather old graphics card with VBIOS resolution addressed for old CRT monitors. We cannot fix this. As I stated when opening the bug, using VESA mode gets around the issue and there is no problem once installed. So you can't compare FC7 and openSUSE (which uses fbdev driver) installation here.
