[Bug 1060551] openSUSE fails to boot after installation, when dmraid is used to support SATA RAID controllers 2
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1060551 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1060551#c35 --- Comment #35 from Stanislav Brabec <sbrabec@suse.com> --- Well, I apparently overseen a part of code that already evaluates the drive where the partition belongs. If /dev/.blkid.tab exists, this part of code is skipped. Looking at strace log after removing of cache, I see that /dev/sda is probed for getting size, partition start and size, and then it performs probe. I have to digg into the code a bit deeper to add additional probe. I wand to add another partition probe: a high priority heuristic that returns usage=raid whenever the disk itself has usage=raid. It should block scanning of raid member partitions. (libblkid correctly detected that the disk is a RAID member.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
