You can get one for various openSUSE releases from the devel:gcc project. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I just downloaded the gdb-7.1 tar.gz and compiled it and tested it. Result: gdb-7.1 doesn't hang where currently installed one hangs. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

You could have simply used the buildservice repository as indicated, instead of compiling on your own. In any case we generally don't do version updates for old products, so just keep using the newer gdb version. The one in openSUSE 11.1 will stay slow. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=643434 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=643434#c4 --- Comment #4 from Florian Mickler <florian@d-labs.de> 2010-10-25 08:41:37 UTC --- Please note, that the 'slowness' is actually a 'brokeness' because to the user the openSUSE gdb binary is not 'slow' but it 'hangs'. But it is your call anyway. I just thought there is an isolated fix to backport for this issue? Updating gdb is the better option anyway (and as said you can get binaries for openSUSE 11.1 from the openSUSE build service devel:gcc project). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
