[Bug 1207434] New: flatpak can not run io.github.shiftey.Desktop
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1207434 Bug ID: 1207434 Summary: flatpak can not run io.github.shiftey.Desktop Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: luna.dragon@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 864335 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=864335&action=edit full backtrace of the segmentation fault Currently when running io.github.shiftey.Desktop flatpak segfaults. I have gotten a backtrace of this. I've confirmed this is not a issue on other distros who use the same version of flatpak and that the Github desktop flatpak is functional. I am able to reproduce and recreate the error every time the backtrace in GDB is exactly the same leading me to believe there is either an issue in our packaging of flatpak or possibly its dependencies. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

I believe flatpak was not properly packaged which has resulted in the weird segmentation fault. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Do you have a reference for where these folks figured this out? The Flatpak ID you mentioned will naturally use agent authentication. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1207434 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1207434#c3 --- Comment #3 from Luna D Dragon <luna.dragon@suse.com> --- The folks in the flatpak matrix(https://matrix.to/#/#flatpak:matrix.org) figured it out. I'm the maintainer of the github desktop flatpak so when it didn't work I pretty quickly figured the issue was with flatpak. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

A "--socket=gpg-agent" option is now recognized by "flatpak run" and related commands (https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/pull/4958)
This seems to be a manifest option, not a build-time configurable? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
