So you Networkmanager's daemon is not running, please start it in terminal like below. # NetworkManager --no-daemon After that you should view some wireless in network applet icon. Then try to connect some wireless. After that attach the NetworkManager's log which show in terminal. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

From the log, the connection was connected, but the ip address was not acquired, so look like you don't use the DHCP? Right?

That's right. I use a static address.
So do you still can't visit the website? what's the result of 'ping www.google.com'? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Result of ping is host unknown until I switch back to ifup, which I usually use, and back again to Network manager and give NetworkManager --no-daemon in terminal as root.
Looks like you don't have the DNS server, So do you assign a DNS server when you setup the connection with static IP? What's the result of 'cat /etc/resolv.conf'? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
