If fsck is interrupted then my guess is that boot.localfs will not succeed, causing those services dependent on $local_fs not to be loaded. Reassigning to maintainer of aaa_base. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

If you do this your local file systems remain in an undefined state. Also fsck returns with a failure causing also boot.localfs to fail or you'll prompted for the root password by sulogin. Ignoring this will cause that the local file systems will *not* be mounted. This would explain why e.g. programs located under /usr will not start. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

All local file systems mount well, and all seems to work except I cannot mount fuse shares and the computer has no name. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=592187 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=592187#c4 --- Comment #4 from Dr. Werner Fink <werner@novell.com> 2010-06-07 12:43:09 UTC --- IMHO you should switch over to serial boot that is to change RUN_PARALLEL in /etc/sysconfig/boot to "no" otherwise you'll break all current boot scripts running in parallel. Please note that in parallel boot scheme the visible boot messages are already buffered and not in sync with the acutal running boot script. This because without buffering the messages become unreadable. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
