I found a link to solution which worked for me. 1) mv ~/.evolution ~/.evolution.bak 2) Started evolution with no problems with fresh settings 3) rm -rf ~/.evolution 4) mv ~/.evolution.bak ~/.evolution read from: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/291430 http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/evolution-will-nach-update-nicht-mehr/#pos... wiht 2) i started, waited some time, and stopped evolution. This worked for me! and i'd like to share.
