[Bug 857550] New: home:derselbst: severe trouble with compat-drivers package
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=857550 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=857550#c0 Summary: home:derselbst: severe trouble with compat-drivers package Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: hees@fias.uni-frankfurt.de QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- I just wanted to install the rpm for kooka on top of my opensuse 13.1 installation. On both of my (quite old) laptops (a Lenovo N500 64 bit and a eee-pc 32 bit) in addition also the compat-drivers package was selected. This caused a severe bug on the system: The system could not properly reboot anymore. After deinstalling the compat-drivers rpm everything was back to normal. Interestingly also kooka itself worked without any problems. I think the compat-drivers rpm should simply not be automatically chosen to be installed in addition to other applications anymore, if not necessary at all. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
